Leaving Houston

Most of you know that we are moving back to Baltimore. In true Williams family style, we're going at a completely inconvenient time of year - smack in the middle of the Holidays! Oh, and lets add in some holiday travel and Cole's baptism too... :) Hey, when is it convenient to move?
Darin keeps saying that I'm containing my excitement quite well. I guess I've been so overwhelmed with all that there is to do that I haven't had much of an opportunity to show my excitement. I lack enthusiasm about the thought of being cold & shoveling snow, but I am excited to get Samuel outside to play in it (he's never even seen snow!). I can't wait to be near my family again and to have TIME with my sister, nephews, and parents. My Grandma (in her late 80s) just moved to Baltimore from CT to be near my parents too, so Samuel & Cole will have the unique opportunity to get to know one of their Great Grandparents. 2 of my good friends in Baltimore are pregnant with their first babies, so I am excited to be around for all of that. I am looking forward to true seasons and am jumping up and down (excited) to leave the heat and humidity here.
That being said, I have had the opportunity to get to know some wonderful people here, and I will miss them all. When I went out on leave during my pregnancy I had time to go to the Mom's group at church. I got to know some amazing women there. Just so you guys know, you made me feel welcome - like I had a home there. Finding a church like TWUMC is going to be HARD!
Anyway, all of this computer stuff really has made the world smaller, and with unlimited cell phone plans out there with no long distance, we can still talk.
We plan to get a po box when we arrive, but until then you can reach me at my parents' house:

Have a Wonderful Christmas!

Catching up

Just trying to catch up on the latest...
Tried getting some cute Christmas photos of the boys
Thank God for Digital photos
I can't imagine how much film I would waste
trying to get good photos!
Samuel is big on the wink

A cute one!

Cole is doing much better at sitting up these days
though he generally ends up in a face plant on the carpet

This was my birthday party!
I went out that morning for my birthday coffee and bagel at Panera
and some shopping. When I got home, there
were streamers, a happy birthday sign, and chocolate cupcakes!
Then My boys sang happy birthday, and Sam & I blew
out my candles. Darin even had silly string!
I've never had silly string on my birthday, and the first thing I though of
was the birthday scene in the movie "Big"
We had a Happy Birthday Jesus party for the kids
at church. Sam enjoyed icing and puting sprinkles on his
cookie. Love the green lips.
Samuel & Payton at the party

Charity telling the Christmas story
(she's so good - you know teachers are perfect for that stuff)

Samuel's actual birthday
November 17, 2008
I love it when the boys end up in our room when they wake
up in the morning. They're cuddley!

Cole 4 months

Samuel opening his gifts:
This is from Grandma & Grandpa

Then from Auntie Kar, Uncle Rob, Selena, Lilah, & Talia

The Buzz Lightyear t shirt from Grandma & Grandpa
This is Samuel "To infinity & beyond!"

I can't believe my baby is 3!
The party was supposed to be outside at the playground (it had been 80 degrees all week), but
the "cold" air brought us inside. It was only 60 - which felt fine to me, but everyone else was freezing, and it was pretty windy. Samuel didn't seem to mind going inside.
mmmm icing. I think that's all he ate.

Alyson & Lana... so glad they could make it over from Waco
to celebrate with us.

Alyson's daughter Eden

Chloe - she is so cute and looks very happy about
her cupcake

Sam's Buzz Lightyear "shooter gun".
Yeah... guns... (sense the lack of enthusiasm)
(I'm told I should get used to the whole guns/violence thing with boys,
but I draw the line at shooting people. It's very challenging to get used to boy
stuff after growing up in a house full of girls... and it's weird to see my sweet little boy
be mean and rough. I have to admit that I don't really like it).
Now, wacking the heck out of a pinata? Perfectly acceptable
there's candy inside!

We had a great day... complete with post party meltdown
typical 3 year old!
