Hi There, and a Happy New Year to you!
Just to bring you up to speed:
We arrived in Baltimore on the 26th - about an hour before my sister Karen & her family arrived from California. It has been complete craziness since. Karen & Rob have 3 girls: Selena, Lilah, & Talia, and we're ALL staying at my Mom & Dad's house. The kids have taken over, and are having tons of fun. When we had our Christmas together on the 27th, there was wrapping paper flying all over the place and Moms saying, "Wait - who gave you that?". There have been a few meltdowns along the way, but for the most part the kids are doing great.
On the 28th we had Cole's baptism. It was awesome. Pastor Mark, at Catonsville United Methodist Church (my other sister Almarie's church) was gracious enough to take us in and baptize our little guy. The sermon that day was wonderful, and we had such a great time with family and friends. Cole didn't cry - even when Pastor Mark held him and showed him off to the congregation.
Last night we got together at the bowling alley to let the kids have some fun on New Year's Eve. After bowling we went back to Almarie & Scott's house for a little party. We had some sushi and mojitos (Rob has the BEST recipe.... I've never liked mojitos before, but these are YUMMM!) while the kids ate pizza. We took the kids outside in the FREEZING cold around 9 pm and said that it was midnight. They had noise makers, poppers, crackers, confetti, all kinds of stuff, and they rang in the new year 3 hours early. Then we put them in their jammies and put them to bed. They were so pooped from the day that they all passed out pretty quickly. But not my Cole. He woke up at 11 for his "top off" feeding and stayed up to see midnight with us. We started playing the wii after the kids went to bed, and it was fun to try. I think we might need one now :). Anyway, we all stayed up late, but it was a blast. The kids slept in until 8 am today, so that was a nice treat.
I will update with photos later, but for now - Have a great day, and we wish you many blessings in 2009.
